This week we are are SPOTlighting a super sweet boy by the name of TROY! Troy is a Pembroke Welsh Corgi. He is also the local canine celebrity who graced the cover of the Seattle Humane Society Walk for The Animals poster in 2015!

He is 12 years young, and you can find him wheelin' around the Capitol Hill neighborhood of Seattle. The picture below was taken outside of the Top Pot Doughnuts just a few weeks ago!

Last year, his humans found out that Troy had an autoimmune disorder, canine lupus. After talking with their vet, it was decided that in order to save him it would be necessary to remove his front leg. To help him recover he was outfitted with a set of Doggone Wheels. His humans didn't have to go far to find the perfect fit (Doggone Wheels is located in Woodinville, Washington).

Sweet boy Troy made a complete recovery. In the city, the cement puts extra pressure on his joints so he uses his cart when around town.

Seattle Pup Magazine is happy to report that Troy can run without his cart and loves hanging out at the beach!

Editor's Note: The Northwest is home to a couple of companies specialize in alternative transportation for special needs pups. Doggone Wheels is located in Woodinvile, while you can find Canine Karts on Whidbey Island.
