One of this year’s family-friendly pet expos, the Northwest Pet Expo, was held in Spokane, Washington. It was a great turn out for many of the local vendors, rescue organizations, and pet enthusiasts of all sorts of shapes, colors, and species!
There was plenty to see from grooming contests, to raffles and prizes, to wiener dog races, even cat grooming stations were a big hit for our feline friends. While some spent time checking out the rescues hoping to adopt, others enjoyed listening to demonstrations and speakers like Dr. Robert Slack author of Tails: Curious Stories of the Human Bond.
For little one’s attending the event they got to ride ponies for free as well as feed some friendly Alpacas. The fun did not end there, no one could pass up the pup kissing booth raising awareness and funds for the Double J Dog Ranch stepping up for special needs cases. If cats and dogs were not enough to get you to the door, the Exotic pets area featuring snakes, sugar babies, tortoises, tarantulas, and colorful parrots certainly would. All and all it was a fun event to check out and to support of some the local business and organizations in the Eastern Washington area, hope to see you there next year!
